Ever since his mom passed away, Keita hasn’t been too crazy about the whole idea of “friends.” Moreover, he’s tormented by the memory of a chance meeting from just before his mother’s death - an encounter with a woman who looked exactly like her. In the midst of a shocking tragedy, Keita bumps into Kuro, a mysterious girl who claims that the woman wasn’t a doppelgänger, but something called a “doppeliner.” However, that’s just the tip of the iceberg as Keita and Kuro quickly discover that their destinies have become inextricably linked in a bloody, no-holds-barred brawl for survival.
